Objective:
- To give the students an opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge to practical situations.
- To provide students with intensive work experience to deepen their knowledge and understanding
- To provide work experience to enhance the skills of students
Playgroups & Nursery:
This set up deals with children from 18months to 6years. Working with the children enables the trainees to develop the professional attitude and skills. Trainees would conduct different age-appropriate activities.
Centres for special children:
The concept of mainstreaming or inclusion of children with mild or severe disabilities in the regular classroom is the need of the hour. Inclusive education ensures that children who face barriers to learning become part of the social mainstreaming. Fieldwork to special schools are planned to expose the trainees and make them efficient in handling special children.
Non-government organizations:
Working with non-government organizations dealing with street children or orphans broadens the outlook of the trainees. Trainees would learn working of organizations; conduct variety of activities like awareness programs, workshops, seminars.
Municipality schools/ Slum Balwadi:
This fieldwork enables the trainees to understand the needs of children belonging to lower socio-economic strata. Here the trainees learn to show their potentials within constraints. Trainees will conduct health programs; puppet shows, reading enhancing programs.
